It feels surreal that almost four months have passed since my first report; my life in Bremen has turned into a routine by now even though the sense of excitement and freshness of the beginning is still present. I can definitely say that I´m learning a lot in many ways; from a work point of view and also from an emotional perspective.
My days in TAFI are passing by very fast but I´m starting to finally notice many improvements in my technical abilities; in the last months I had the opportunity to start a documentary film project from scratch where I had to write a storyboard, film, interview the protagonists and take care of the whole editing. This project was different from anything else I´ve done before because, in this case, I had more power in terms of artistic decision and this filled me with a sense of confidence.
These months also helped me to create stronger bonds with other volunteers, colleagues and people around me in general and that’s also why seeing some people going away has been difficult.
The difficult moments have been present in the last months; many times I felt lost, out of touch with myself and a little unmotivated. This volunteering experience is making me reconsider the life plans I had before, especially taking into consideration that time is going very fast and the idea of a potential aftermath is starting to feel more and more close; I hope I´ll find more clarity in these last months.
Aside from everything I can surely say that all of the things I’ve experienced so far have taught me a lot and every moment here, good and bad, is making me grow as a person.
I´m looking forward to see what’s next!
