Sofiia in Bremen // Final Report

And just like that, it’s over. The end of the season, or a chapter, or however you prefer to call it. A year has passed, and my project is complete. There’s so much I want to say and so few words to do so.

It’s been a journey and i didn’t always know where it’s bringing me. Looking back, I realize that the version of me from a year ago might not have wanted to go through everything I’ve been throught. Yet, here I am—no regrets, happier than I’ve ever been.

I think of how much my presense shaped things. In my work, I feel like I was an important part of it all. At times, it didn’t seem like I was doing much, but now I can see how much I’ve accomplished. I might not have fully found my place within an organization filled with so many people, but I can clearly see my progress, from where I started to how I grew into my responsibilities.

Then, there’s the community—the people I met and connected with. Our traces are everywhere. Together, we changed the place we called home. We found our favorite spots in the city, shared countless conversations, taught and learned from one another. Now, when the new faces arrive and look to us for support, we’ve somehow become the “old ones.”

This year has been all about cycles—things coming and going, people arriving and leaving. We’ve all been on similar journeys, though each of us experienced it in our own unique way. Everything around me is constantly shifting—ending and beginning, all at once. All I can do is watch and appreciate the inevitable flow of life.

Now I am on my own, I found my own place, new things to focus on. And it might seem that everything has changed, but in many ways, I am still here – walking the same streets, carrying my backpack with all the memories from that year and having my new friends by my side.

And all I can think is, “This is Life.”
