Sustainable Youth Work was a job shadowing by Teodora S. that came to visit NaturKultur e.V. for three weeks to enhace intercultural experiences in our organizations everyday work. In her job shadowing she participanted in different kind of projects and visited various NGO’s in northern Germany in order to compare working structures and to build international partnerships withing Germany and Romania.
Teodora S. had the following specific role / responsibility within the project:
– Working with different kind of youth
– Working with participants with disabilities
– Creating and international network of partnerships
– Bringing intercultural competence to German NGO’s
– Helping with developing and evaluating projects
The overall aim and specific objectives of the project:
– Comparing working structures in different countries of the European Union
– Development of skills of youth worker
– Learning intercultural competences
– Learning skills in different kind of youth works in Germany

Training and networking projects within the EU Youth in Action Programme support competence development of the people and organisations active in the youth field. Within the non-formal learning activities, people from different countries and backgrounds develop their personal, professional, and intercultural competences. The projects support the exchange of experiences, expertise and good practice between people active in youth work and youth organisations, as well as activities which lead to the establishment of long-lasting, high quality projects, partnerships and networks. Thus, the projects contribute to strengthening the quality and the role of youth work in Europe. They also support youth policy development and implementation.
The formats of the training and networking projects vary from short-term meetings to long-lasting projects.
This job shadowing was funded by “Jugend für Europa” through the “Youth in Action” program.
Sustainable Youth Work war ein Job-shadowing Projekt (Job-Schatten- ähnlich wie ein Praktikum) von Teodora S. die unseren Verein für drei Wochen besuchte um interkulturelle Erfahrungen in unserem Verein im Alltag zu machen. Während des Jobshadowings hat sie verschiedene Projekte und Organisationen in Norddeutschland besucht um Arbeitsstrukturen mit Rumänien- ihrem Herkunftsland zu vergleichen und um eine internationale Partnerschaft zwischen Deutschland und Rumänien aufzubauen.
Teodora S. hatte folgende spezifische Verantwortlichkeiten während des Projektes:
– Arbeit mit verschiedenen Gruppen von Jugendlichen
– Arbeit mit Menschen mit Behinderung
– Herstellung von internationalen Beziehungen im Bereich der Jugendarbeit
– Schaffen von interkultureller Toleranz in deutschen Organisationen
– Assistenz bei der Kreation und Valorisierung von Projekten
Das generelle Ziel des Projektes waren:
– Arbeitsweisen in verschiedenen Europäischen Ländern vergleichen
– Entwicklung von Kompetenzen als Jugendarbeiter
– Das Erlernen von interkulturellen Kompetenzen
– Lernweisen in verschiedenen Weisen der Jugendarbeit in Deutschland
Die Hauptaktivitäten im Projekt waren:
– Persönliche Entwicklung
– Projektbesuche
– Besuche bei verschiedenen Organisationen
– Entwicklung von internationalen Partnerschaften
