Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to explore the impact of fast fashion? Join our international youth exchange “Game Changers”, where we will dive into ecological awareness, textile pollution, and alternatives to the current fashion industry.

“The Dark Side of Fashion” is going to be a youth exchange organized in Saint Lizier in France which will include 25 young people from 5 different countries: Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, France and Germany.

In this exchange, participants will explore the topic of fast fashion, as one of the most polluting industries in the world nowadays.

Through non-formal education, hands-on activities, and intercultural exchange, we will:

  • Explore the journey of clothing from raw materials to waste.
  • Learn about textile pollution and sustainable alternatives.
  • Participate in sewing and upcycling workshops.
  • Visit local second-hand shops and sustainable initiatives.
  • Organize a second-hand fashion show to promote repaired clothing.
  • Engage in discussions and reflections on consumer habits and the environment.
  • Take part in intercultural evenings and group activities.

The goals of the project are:

 

  • Raise awareness about the environmental impact of fast fashion
  • Encourage critical thinking and responsible consumer behaviour
  • Develop practical skills in upcycling and sustainable fashion

All costs for accommodation and food are covered by the Erasmus + program. Travel costs will be reimbursed up to € 309 for participants from Germany or 417€ in case of the green travel.

We charge a participation fee of € 50!

Accommodation

 

  • The exchange will take place in Saint Lizier, France, in a cozy eco-friendly holiday cottage.
  • Accommodation will be in shared dormitories with common facilities.
  • Meals will be vegetarian, focusing on local, seasonal, and organic food.
  • Participants will contribute to daily tasks like cooking and cleaning.

You can apply below if:

 

  • You are a resident of Germany
  • You are 18-30 years old
  • You are interested in the topics of sustainability and fast fashion
  • You are willing to be a part of a multi cultural group
  • Are motivated to give your best when speaking English, you do not have to be fluent!
