NatuKultur is not new to organizing camping projects, and with this experience, we have realized a concerning issue, youngsters are really out of shape, they don’t feel like doing sports and outdoor activities. In this digital era, Facebook, Twitter, computer games, TV, and smartphones are sometimes preventing the youngsters from staying outdoors, and turning activities such as hiking, kayaking or biking into something perceived as boring.
In this youth exchange we want to organize outdoor and sports activities with the youngsters from many different countries, and do it in a way they will find it really fun, so it becomes something they will continue doing when they go back home. We need to raise the awareness of healthy lifestyle and help young people to realize that sport should be a part of their everyday life, just like Facebook or TV.
We are happy to realize that a trend of youth realizing the needs of our planet has been increasing. However, we cannot stop with the efforts just because we have seen the first signs of improvement. That’s why the second goal of this project is nature: protecting our environment health and well-being, eating healthy and natural products, understanding how climate change has an effect on our planet, and what we can do through our daily activities in order to make a positive change in the environment.
The final goal of the project is the integration and social inclusion of refugees, minorities, migration background youngsters and providing them equal opportunities in our societies. The nationalism, xenophobia, discrimination, this disrespect of human rights is back on the rise in Europe. many countries have taken a turn after the latest political turmoil with Brexit, the election of Donald Trump, the fall of the government of Italy etc. With this project, we want to reach the goal of equal rights and opportunities for everyone.
We are going to be accommodated at a camping site on the Weser River in Berne that is close to Bremen, Oldenburg and the north sea. Last year’s we have done similar projects, for impressions you can check the videos:
