“Dance is the hidden language of the soul of the body.” – Martha Graham
Is there a better way to explore other cultures than through dance? On this youth exchange, participants from all over Europe will find dance as their common language and spend unforgettable days in Croatia!
Dates: 12th of October – 21st of October 2019
Location: Fužine, Croatia
“Let’s Dance Together” is going to be a youth exchange which will include 35 young people and 7 group leaders from 7 different countries: Germany, Spain, North Macedonia, Lithuania, Greece, Italy and Croatia.
This project is the 3rd in a row, organised around the topic of intercultural understanding. After exploring interculturalism through forum theatre in 2017 and eating habits in 2018, Ocean Znanja – the hosting organisation of this project – decided to continue that journey by working on competencies necessary for carrying out an intercultural dialogue using dancing as a tool for connecting with, researching and better understanding of other cultures. This project is meant for absolutely everyone, regardless of language skills, since the method of expression is dancing. It is something that a broad spectrum of young people can get involved with, and it is a way to get empowered through nonverbal communication.
