Pack your guitar, your journal and your paintbrushes and join us for 10 creative days of art and music, culminating into a performance and exhibition staged by 45 young people from all over Europe!

Dates: 28.10. – 07.11.2019

Location: Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Germany

“PAMELA Evolution” is going to be a youth exchange which will include 36 young people and 7 group leaders from 6 different countries: Spain, Italy, North Macedonia, Greece, Croatia and Germany.

Through this project, we want to inspire YOU to tackle burning issues in Europe, such as social inequality, lack of inclusion of minorities and refugees and lack of youth activism in local communities. We believe that the voice of young people who are also victims of social inequality should be the loudest!

Using a variety of forms of art, the following goals are to be achieved:

  1. Inspire interest in art among young people
  2. To raise awareness about the importance of inclusion of minorities and refugees in the society
  3. To give tools to youth and inspire them to become active citizens in their society and to deal with important issues in their community
  4. Give to participants basic knowledge about organizing and promoting cultural events
  5. Encourage youth to talk about social problems through new interesting approaches
  6. Raising awareness about social inequality inside Europe

How can you participate?

  • For this project, we are looking for young people between 18 and 30 years old and living in Germany.
  • You should have at least basic knowledge of the working language English, and a great willingness to be a part of a multi-cultural group.

Every national team should consist of participants with interests and (amateur) skills in the following areas:

  • Music (playing instruments, singing)
  • Poetry (poetic writing)
  • Fine Art (Drawing, Painting, Sculpturing, etc.)
  • Photography, Videomaking

You do not need to be a professional in any of these areas – more importantly, you need to bring basic knowledge in your chosen area and enthusiasm to share your skills with the group!

During the exchange, we will have two main events in which musicians and poets are going to perform live while fine artists and photographers/video makers will have an exhibition of what they were creating during the exchange.

Where does the exchange take place?

For this project, we will be living as a big group in our KulturHaus in Osterholz- Scharmbeck, close to the city of Bremen, Germany. The accommodation will be simple. Participants will be sharing rooms with 4-6 people from same gender but different nationalities. Some of the rooms are with private and some with shared bathrooms. You can find more information and photos about the venue here .

All costs for accommodation and food are covered by Erasmus+. Travel costs will be reimbursed up to 180€. We charge a 45€ participation fee.
